We were well educated thanks to Mr. Thach. I can tell in the first 10 minutes of talking to him that he really is passionate about his craftsmanship and he not only envisioned, he also executed my now wife's dream engagement ring with perfection. Nothing needed to be changed after everything was said and done. We were so pleased with the results that we had our wedding bands custom made as well. Both bands custom made with specific instructions all the way from Calgary and again Mr. Thach knocked it out of the park with the results. I can't say in a shorter amount of words in this review how grateful I am to the Thai family for all the help and support throughout this whole process. One of more difficult things in a relationship when you are ready to take that giant step into engagement is purchasing a ring that she will like . Let alone fit ! Mr. Thai and his family helped me from start to finish on my journey to get the perfect ring. They were able to help get the exact size of the ring by letting my have a ring sizer. Picking an engagement ring is a very challenging process, especially when you decide to make it a complete surprise and don’t have any specifications to work from. I started my initial research with the big online retailers but I found it very impersonal, lacking in technical explanations and ultimately I had a hard time justifying a purchase of this magnitude without physically seeing it. Living in the Yonge-Eglinton area I began looking through the many local options but found them overly pressuring and costly. Coincidentally, a post on social media for Hollywood Diamond caught my eye and I reached out to them for an appointment. When I first met Mr. Thai I was pleasantly surprised how knowledgeable and accommodating he was, our first meeting was well over an hour and we had a very productive discussion on budget and the various levers which affect the price of a diamond. I left our first meeting feeling very confident, informed and unpressured into making a decision. Over the following weeks we had a few more appointments and back and forth conversations as I zoned in on the perfect diamond. Throughout the whole process, Mr. Thai was extremely patient and transparent with me regarding the market and how the pricing models work. In the end, I had complete confidence in the ring I selected and my fiancé was majorly wowed when I made my surprise proposal. Since it was a surprise, I was way off on my sizing estimate and Mr. Thai was again extremely accommodating in resizing the ring twice, at first we opted for a more snug fit but after a couple weeks of wearing it she was slightly uncomfortable so we went up another quarter size and were provided with complimentary band spacers when her finger contracted in the winter months. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Hollywood Diamond to anyone looking for an engagement ring. Thank you!!

The engagement ring was designed with smooth bevel around the diamond to accentuate the rock. The box that the ring came in was of a quality. It came with a tiny LED light that shines directly onto the diamond. It was more than I could ask for, and more that I imagined.

My FH got my dream ring made at Hollywood Diamond! Have you ever spent hours looking on Pinterest and compiled photos for your inspiration board? Well I had one for engagement rings. (A girl can dream a little.) So years ago I sent my BF a picture of a ring. I didn't think he would have saved it and it was a low resolution photo too (our phones' quality weren't as great as they are now). He told me he went to Hollywood Diamond with this photo and they worked with him every step of the way to recreate this ring. They showed him the diamonds available. They also taught him how to look at diamonds and understand the quality of each. They had a prototype made so he can see how the band would look before placing the diamonds on. They did a few adjustments until it was perfect. He told me the whole process took less than a month. I'm so in love with my engagement ring. It is a dream come true! I no longer have to look at photos since I can wear it in reality. I did have to get my ring resized. Did you know that your fingers thin during the winter? They gave me those ring guards for free! The ring resize process was effortless. They had the ring ready for pick up the very next day!

(A girl can dream a little.) So years ago I sent my BF a picture of a ring. I didn’t think he would have saved it and it was a low resolution photo too (our phones’ quality weren’t as great as they are now). He told me he went to Hollywood Diamond with this photo and they worked with him every step of the way to recreate this ring. They showed him the diamonds available. They also taught him how to look at diamonds and understand the quality of each. They had a prototype made so he can see how the band would look before placing the diamonds on. They did a few adjustments until it was perfect. He told me the whole process took less than a month. I’m so in love with my engagement ring. It is a dream come true! I no longer have to look at photos since I can wear it in reality. I did have to get my ring resized. Did you know that your fingers thin during the winter? They gave me those ring guards for free! The ring resize process was effortless. They had the ring ready for pick up the very next day!

Picking an engagement ring is a very challenging process, especially when you decide to make it a complete surprise and don’t have any specifications to work from. In the end, I had complete confidence in the ring I selected and my fiancé was majorly wowed when I made my surprise proposal. Since it was a surprise, I was way off on my sizing estimate and Mr. Thai was again extremely accommodating in resizing the ring twice, at first we opted for a more snug fit but after a couple weeks of wearing it she was slightly uncomfortable so we went up another quarter size and were provided with complimentary band spacers when her finger contracted in the winter months.
